| By Correspondent February 26, 2026

SANTIAGO - Jean-Julien Rojer has made a successful doubles debut at the Chile Open, advancing to the quarterfinals alongside Ecuadorian partner Gonzalo Escobar.

The duo secured their place in the last eight with a straight-sets victory in the round of 16 over Chilean pair Nicolás Jarry and Diego Fillol. With the win, Rojer and Escobar continue to build momentum in only their second tournament together.

The Chile Open marks the second consecutive event in which the Curaçaoan doubles specialist and Escobar have teamed up. Just a week earlier, the pair also competed at the Rio Open, where they were eliminated in the round of 16.

Rojer, one of Curaçao’s most successful international athletes, is using the South American clay-court swing to further fine-tune his partnership with Escobar. Their quarterfinal appearance in Santiago signals progress as the duo looks to establish itself on the ATP doubles circuit.
