WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao's Jean-Julien Rojer saw his Wimbledon campaign come to an end on Sunday after he and American partner Theodore Winegar were eliminated in the fourth round of the men's doubles tournament.

The duo lost in three sets to the tournament's experienced pairing of Marcelo Arévalo of El Salvador and Croatia's Mate Pavić.

Rojer and Winegar made a strong start, capturing the opening set 7-6 in a closely contested tiebreak. However, Arévalo and Pavić responded by winning the second set 6-4 before securing the decisive third set 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals.

The match also marked a reunion between Rojer and Arévalo, who enjoyed considerable success together as doubles partners. The pair captured the men's doubles title at the 2022 French Open (Roland Garros) and were among the world's top-ranked teams during their partnership.

Despite the defeat, Rojer once again demonstrated his competitiveness on one of tennis' biggest stages. The veteran Curaçaoan has enjoyed an illustrious doubles career, highlighted by multiple Grand Slam titles and years among the world's elite doubles players.

His Wimbledon run this year ended in the Round of 16, while former partner Arévalo continues his pursuit of another Grand Slam title alongside Pavić.
