WILLEMSTAD – Veteran sports leader Rignaal Jean Fransisca has been named an Honorary Member of the Federation of Sports Organizations of Curaçao (FDOK) in recognition of his decades-long contribution to the development of football and sports on the island.
The honorary appointment was approved by the members of FDOK's affiliated federations during the organization's Annual General Meeting held Tuesday evening.
According to FDOK, the distinction recognizes Jean Fransisca's outstanding dedication, leadership and lifelong commitment to advancing sports in Curaçao.
Throughout his years of service, Jean Fransisca has played an important role in the growth of football and the broader sporting community. FDOK said his efforts have left a lasting impact on Curaçao's sports sector and have inspired generations of athletes, coaches and sports administrators.
"We are proud to honor his remarkable legacy and thank him for his invaluable contribution to sport in Curaçao," the organization said in a statement announcing the recognition.
