Transforming Tomorrow: Practical AI and the Quantum Future
WILLEMSTAD – On November 4 and 5, 2026, the ISACA Curaçao Chapter is hosting the twelfth edition of its annual conference in collaboration with the Curaçao Quantum Safe Foundation. The conference will take place at the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten in Willemstad and is themed "Transforming Tomorrow: Practical AI and the Quantum Future".
The conference brings together professionals from the business community and government to explore how organizations can deploy new technologies effectively, securely, and responsibly.

AI must solve business problems
At the heart of the event is the question of how organizations can move beyond experimenting with artificial intelligence (AI) and truly deploy this technology to improve business processes and solve concrete problems. Additionally, attention will be paid to the rise of quantum computing and its consequences for areas such as cybersecurity, cryptography, and data protection.
Edjon Lacroes, president of the ISACA Curaçao Chapter, states: "AI offers significant opportunities to increase productivity, improve decision-making, and develop new services. However, to harness these opportunities responsibly, organizations must also establish clear frameworks for oversight, data protection, security, and accountability."
Goal of the conference
The vision of Edjon Lacroes aligns with the central goal of the conference: to support organizations in transitioning from AI experiments to practical implementation, where innovation goes hand in hand with governance, security, risk management, and accountability. The conference offers participants the opportunity to learn about practical applications, real-world experiences, and approaches for effective AI management.
Quantum Computing
In addition to artificial intelligence, the conference explicitly focuses on quantum computing. Although this technology is still evolving, it could eventually have major implications for cryptography, information security, financial services, and data processing.
For organizations, it is therefore important not only to understand the current capabilities of AI, but also to think ahead about the opportunities, risks, and security issues that quantum technology may bring.
By addressing both technological developments together, the ISACA Curaçao Experience 2026 encourages organizations to look ahead, strengthen their digital resilience, and prepare for a rapidly changing technological landscape.
