Local, Technology, | By Press release August 25, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – ISACA Curaçao Chapter will officially launch SheLeadsTech on Thursday, August 27, an international initiative aimed at supporting women in their professional development and helping more women advance into leadership positions in technology and the digital sector.

Through the program, ISACA Curaçao wants to increase the representation and visibility of women working in technology-related fields. SheLeadsTech focuses on three main areas: raising awareness, preparing women for leadership positions and establishing sustainable partnerships locally and internationally.

The Curaçao initiative will provide opportunities for training, mentoring, networking and professional development. Organizers say the intention is not only to promote equal opportunities but also to create an environment where women can support each other and strengthen their professional networks.

“With SheLeadsTech, we not only want to draw attention to equal opportunities, but above all create a platform where women can strengthen one another, expand their networks, and further develop themselves as leaders in the digital society,” the organization said.

Several professionals will participate in Thursday's launch at Hofi Cas Cora.

Among the speakers is Pauline Alfonso, Senior Functional Solution Consultant at ICTual, a certified TMMi Test Process Improver and Accredited Assessor, and Chair of the Curaçao Testing Qualification Board.

Lorna Davelaar, Business Operations Manager and Deputy General Manager at Aqualectra Multi Utility and Utility Financial Services, will also address participants.

The event will additionally introduce Sushila Nair, Eastern Region SheLeadsTech Regional Advocate and President of the ISACA Greater Washington, D.C. Chapter.

The program begins with registration at 5:30 p.m., followed by opening remarks from the president of ISACA Curaçao Chapter at 6:00 p.m. Presentations will continue throughout the evening before closing remarks at 7:35 p.m. A networking session is scheduled from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.

Participation is free, although advance registration is required because of limited capacity. ISACA members participating in the event may also qualify for Continuing Professional Education credits.

ISACA Curaçao is particularly encouraging women working in technology, cybersecurity, digital transformation, governance and related sectors to participate. Students and future professionals are also invited, along with employers, executives and others interested in supporting greater diversity and female leadership in Curaçao's technology sector.

ISACA is an international professional association focused on areas including IT governance, IT auditing, information security, cybersecurity and technology risk management.
