WILLEMSTAD – The initiators behind the creation of a network for decorated citizens of Curaçao have presented their progress to the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Lucille George-Wout, during a second meeting held on March 24, 2026.
The initiative is being led by Signalda Olario, Tania Kross, and Roxienne Albertina. During the meeting, they outlined their plans to establish a structured network aimed at strengthening connections among individuals who have received royal honors.
The proposed network seeks to foster engagement through activities, discussion groups, and regular gatherings. In addition, the initiators plan to develop a supporting database that can provide advice and assistance to members when needed.
The group will also be present at the annual “Lintjesregen” ceremony on April 24, 2026, where they intend to introduce the initiative to newly decorated citizens. In the meantime, Curaçao residents who have previously received a royal distinction are invited to express their interest in joining the network via email.
It was further agreed with the Governor that a larger meeting will be organized, bringing together all decorated citizens of Curaçao. This event will serve as an opportunity for participants to meet the Governor and to further shape the development of the network.
