WILLEMSTAD – Hestia Foundation Curaçao has been nominated for the prestigious Appeltje van Oranje award in recognition of its efforts to support single mothers and promote social development on the island.
As part of the nomination process, Hestia co-founder and Operations Manager Rian van Barneveld paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Mauritsz de Kort, on Thursday, June 18, 2026. She was accompanied by social worker Roshanty Barbolina.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the foundation’s work within the community and its strategic priorities for the future. The Governor was briefed on the organization's mission and the impact of its programs aimed at helping vulnerable families achieve greater economic independence.
