WILLEMSTAD – Guardian Group Fatum is preparing to bring Curaçao together for a morning of fitness, health awareness, and community involvement as the 41st edition of the My Guardian Group Walk & Run takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026. This year's event introduces a new competitive 5-kilometer race alongside the traditional 10K Walk & Run and the popular Glory Runners Kids Run.
Under the theme “My Health, My Wealth / Mi Salú, Mi Rikesa,” the annual event encourages residents to embrace a healthier and more active lifestyle while supporting organizations that contribute to community well-being.

Guardian Group Fatum emphasized that the initiative forms part of its broader commitment to social responsibility. Every year, a portion of the proceeds from T-shirt sales is donated to organizations working to improve the well-being of Curaçao's population.
The company hopes the event will encourage participants of all ages to make physical activity a regular part of their lives.
New 5K Competitive Race Introduced
One of the major additions this year is the 5K Competitive Run, organized in partnership with Forward Running Club.
The new race is exclusively for runners aged 18 and older and will begin at TeleCuraçao at 6:45 a.m. Participants must check in between 5:45 a.m. and 6:15 a.m.
Those who prefer walking are encouraged to participate in the traditional 10K Walk & Run.
The 10K event will start at Guardian Group Fatum's office on Cas Coraweg, with competitive runners departing promptly at 6:30 a.m., followed by recreational walkers.
Organizers are asking all participants to arrive well before the starting time and are reminding walkers to give competitive runners sufficient space at the beginning of the event.
Both the 5K and 10K routes will cross the Juliana Bridge and finish at Parasasa Beach.
Kids Run Returns for Third Year
The Glory Runners Kids Run will also return for its third edition, providing young athletes with an opportunity to participate in organized running competitions.
Children belonging to athletics teams will compete over distances of 600, 1,000, or 1,600 meters, depending on their age.
Check-in for the children's races will take place between 5:45 a.m. and 6:10 a.m.
All races will finish at Parasasa Beach, where participants and their families will gather for post-event activities and celebrations.
Registration Fees and T-Shirt Collection
Participants who have registered for the event can complete payment and collect their official T-shirts at Guardian Group Fatum's office from Wednesday, October 21, through Friday, October 23.
The collection point will be open each evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Participation in either the 10K or 5K event costs XCG 15 per person, while children participating through athletics teams pay XCG 5.
The event is entirely cashless, meaning payments can only be made using a bank card.
Organizers stressed that online registration alone does not guarantee participation. Those who have not yet paid are encouraged to complete the process as soon as possible because availability is limited.
Participants who have already paid through Sentoo can collect their T-shirts at a dedicated Sentoo Fast Lane outside the building without entering the main collection area.
They must present valid identification, their registration confirmation number, and proof of payment through Sentoo.
T-shirt sizes cannot be reserved, including for participants who have already paid online.
As an additional health initiative, Lab de Med will be present during all three collection evenings to offer participants the opportunity to undergo a health check before the event.
Participants will also receive a complimentary motivational wristband featuring this year's theme, “My Health, My Wealth.”
Road Closures and Safety Measures
Extensive traffic and safety arrangements are being coordinated for the event.
The Curaçao Police Force (KPC), Volunteer Corps Curaçao (VKC), Forensys, motorcycle escorts, MNO, and CWM will assist with traffic management and road closures.
Roads along the race routes will begin closing progressively from 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Organizers are urging participants and other road users to allow additional travel time and follow instructions from traffic officials.
A strict cutoff time will apply to participants approaching the Juliana Bridge. Anyone who has not reached the bridge by 8:10 a.m. will no longer be permitted to cross it as part of the event.
Medical assistance will be available throughout the route, with support from the Red Cross, a mobile doctor, and an additional physician stationed at the finish line.
Three water stations will be positioned along the route: near Coca-Cola, at the viaduct after the Juliana Bridge, and near Aqualectra/KAE.
Competitive runners must be officially registered and wear their race numbers clearly visible on the front of their shirts to allow digital timing through Patrishi Sport.
Organizers are also emphasizing environmental responsibility. Participants are being asked to dispose of empty water bottles properly by handing them to volunteers stationed near the hydration points.
Total Services will conduct an initial cleanup immediately behind the participants, followed by additional inspections later that day and the following morning. Selikor will assist with cleaning and recycling activities.
Celebration at Parasasa Beach
After crossing the finish line, participants will be welcomed at Parasasa Beach with fruit, refreshments, and recovery services.
Sports massage students will provide massages, while Island Recovery will offer additional recovery support.
DJ R01 and MC Jorick will provide entertainment as participants gather for the awards ceremony.
Winners will receive medals and trophies produced by Fantasy Arts, along with prizes contributed by Changes, Panaderia Isa, and F4WRD Running Club.
Guardian Group Fatum expressed appreciation to the many volunteers, sports clubs, sponsors, medical teams, and security organizations involved in organizing the event.
The company also acknowledged the contributions of EWT, Kortijn, Dasani/CBBC, Coca-Cola, VitaMalt/Distribier, Caribbean Legacy, Samurai, Panaderia Isa, Fantasy Arts, Changes, Total Services, Selikor, MNO, CWM, and TeleCuraçao.
Additional support is being provided by Defense personnel from the Marine Barracks, the Curaçao Rugby Federation, Stakamahakchi Volleyball Club, scouting organizations, motorcycle units, and Guardian Group Fatum employees, relatives, and friends.
With the 41st edition approaching, organizers hope to welcome participants from across Curaçao for an event that combines physical activity, community spirit, and charitable giving.
The central message remains that investing time in personal health is one of the most valuable commitments individuals can make to themselves and their families.
