| By Press release February 19, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – From February 10 to 12, 2026, the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort, paid a working visit to Sint Maarten together with his delegation for the regular Governors’ Consultation (G3).

During the visit, Governor de Kort met with his counterparts, Ajamu Baly and Alfonso Boekhoudt. The three governors jointly participated in the consultation, which is held twice a year and rotates between the Caribbean countries and the Netherlands.

The day of the formal meeting began with a joint walk from Back Bay to the Natural Pools, underscoring the informal and collegial character of the gathering.

During the G3 consultation, the governors discussed current matters of common interest to the countries, as well as broader Kingdom affairs. The meeting serves as an important platform for coordination and the exchange of views on constitutional, administrative, and governance-related issues within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
