WILLEMSTAD – Governor of Curaçao Mauritsz de Kort received René Römer, Senior Commercial Advisor at the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange (DCSX), at the Governor’s Palace on August 5.
During the meeting, they discussed the role of DCSX as a securities exchange in Curaçao and opportunities to further stimulate entrepreneurship, investment and access to capital.

The conversation also addressed the continued development of Curaçao as a financial center and the role the securities exchange can play in supporting that ambition.
The visit also carried special personal significance for Römer.
A photograph of Römer and Governor De Kort was taken in front of the portrait of the late Prof. Dr. René Antonio Römer, a former Governor of the Netherlands Antilles and René Römer’s father.
The setting brought together Curaçao’s past and present, connecting the legacy of a former Governor with the current Governor and Römer’s work within the island’s financial sector.
