WILLEMSTAD – Governor of Curaçao Mauritsz de Kort received representatives of Fundashon Alton Paas (FAP) at the Governor’s Palace to discuss the foundation’s work and its efforts to improve the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injuries and other forms of paralysis.
The meeting took place on Friday, August 7, and focused on the background, mission and social importance of Fundashon Alton Paas on Curaçao.

The foundation was established in 2012 with the goal of raising awareness and improving the quality of life of people with spinal cord injuries and other forms of paralysis. FAP advocates for a Curaçao where people can participate actively in society and enjoy a good quality of life regardless of physical limitations.
Since 2016, the organization has also operated a specialized exercise center on the island for people with physical disabilities or chronic mobility limitations.
The AP Center provides specialized post-rehabilitation services and guidance aimed at helping clients maintain progress achieved during rehabilitation. Its programs are also intended to reduce the risk of medical complications and improve clients’ overall quality of life.
During the meeting, representatives had the opportunity to explain these activities and the foundation’s broader role within the Curaçao community to Governor De Kort.
Fundashon Alton Paas was represented by Director Alton Paas, Chairperson Migarda Martina, Secretary Mistica Fraay and board members Naomi Cyntje-Rogers and Angelique Harrigan.
The meeting forms part of the Governor’s engagements with organizations involved in social and community initiatives across Curaçao.
