| By Correspondent March 2, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The government is urging residents of Curaçao who are currently in the Middle East to remain extra vigilant due to heightened security risks in the region. The warning was issued in an official government press release.

According to the authorities, Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates are currently under a code orange travel advisory following recent attacks involving Israel and the United States.

In addition, the islands of Abu Musa and Tunb have been placed under code red, meaning that travel to these areas is strongly discouraged due to serious safety concerns.

Travelers in the region are advised to closely monitor local news and official updates, register with the Dutch information and assistance services, and make use of the 24-hour emergency hotlines in case of urgent situations.

The government emphasizes that the situation remains fluid and that travelers should be prepared to adjust their plans if security conditions deteriorate further.
