Government Plans New Protocol on Reporting Ministers’ Travel Abroad

| By Correspondent March 9, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The Council of Ministers has agreed on a new proposal regarding how information about ministers’ travel abroad will be shared with Parliament.

Under the proposed policy, only official work-related trips taken by ministers will be reported to Parliament.

The proposal will be submitted by the Ministry of General Affairs to the Speaker of Parliament for consideration.

If Parliament agrees, the arrangement will be formalized in a written policy or protocol.

The government says the measure is intended to clarify procedures for reporting ministers’ international travel.
