WILLEMSTAD – Fundashon Bon Intenshon is giving away more than 2,000 free tickets to the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival, continuing an initiative aimed at giving young people greater access to culture and live music.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that the foundation has organized the ticket giveaway. The initiative coincides with the beginning of the new school year and is intended to inspire young people through exposure to music, culture and internationally renowned artists.
The Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival will take place on September 4 and 5. Young people receiving tickets will have the opportunity to attend performances by major international artists, including Sean Paul, J Balvin and Jeon.
Fundashon Bon Intenshon sees cultural experiences as an important part of young people's development and wants to make the festival accessible to those who might otherwise not have an opportunity to attend.
Teachers will also benefit from this year's initiative. A portion of the available tickets will be raffled among educators as a gesture of appreciation for their daily commitment to Curaçao's youth.
By including teachers in the giveaway, the foundation wants to recognize the role they play in educating, guiding and supporting young people throughout the school year.
The distribution of more than 2,000 tickets continues a tradition that has now become a recurring part of Fundashon Bon Intenshon's involvement surrounding the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival.
