WILLEMSTAD – Visitors attending the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival on September 3, 4 and 5 will be able to park free of charge at three designated locations, with complimentary shuttle buses transporting festivalgoers to the World Trade Center in Piscadera.
The official parking areas are located at Sambil, Rif Stadion and Velt Veeris. All three locations will open at 5:00 p.m. on each festival day, one hour before the festival grounds open at 6:00 p.m.
Both parking and shuttle transportation are free for visitors who present a valid festival ticket. According to the organizers, the designated parking areas will be illuminated and secured.
On Thursday, September 3, shuttle buses will operate from 5:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. On Friday and Saturday, September 4 and 5, service will continue until 3:00 a.m.
The buses will drop passengers off at the roundabout on Helmin Magno Wiels Boulevard. A trolley service will be available from there for visitors with limited mobility who need assistance reaching the elevated festival grounds.
Traffic measures will also be introduced around Piscadera during the three-day event. Helmin Magno Wiels Boulevard will be closed from 5:00 p.m. between Aqualectra and the Parasasa roundabout. The road will reopen only after the last festival visitors have left the area.
Organizers are strongly urging motorists not to park along or around Piscaderaweg. Vehicles parked there could narrow the roadway and obstruct emergency services in the event of an incident.
Drivers are being asked to follow instructions from police officers and security personnel. Signs will direct motorists to the official parking locations.
A separate taxi stand will be established along Piscaderaweg near the Marriott Beach Resort and will also be clearly marked.
The Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival runs from Thursday, September 3 through Saturday, September 5.
