WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao government has approved a proposed management agreement for the Fortuna Plenchi sports facility in Seru di Fortuna with Fundashon Hobennan Positivo Ser’i Papaya.
The Council of Ministers approved the contents of the draft agreement during its September 23 meeting.
Under the proposal, the foundation will enter into a formal arrangement with the Country of Curaçao concerning management of the sports facility.
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (OWCS) has received authorization from the Cabinet to sign the agreement on behalf of Curaçao.
The corresponding draft National Decree will be submitted to the Governor for signature.
The government did not disclose the duration or financial terms of the proposed agreement, nor did it provide further information about planned improvements or investments at Fortuna Plenchi.
The agreement forms part of two decisions concerning sports facilities taken by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday. The Cabinet also approved a separate management agreement concerning the Quick 60 field.
