FKP: “The Time Has Come for Visible Implementation”

Local, | By Correspondent May 27, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – FKP says the launch of the Mi Kas Awor pilot project marks the beginning of what it hopes will become a visible and practical transformation of Curaçao’s housing sector.

According to the foundation, affordable home ownership has remained out of reach for many families for years.

“With Mi Kas Awor, we want to demonstrate that affordable property development on Curaçao can once again become possible,” FKP stated.

The organization says the new model places property ownership at the center of public housing policy while using public resources more efficiently and giving families a stronger path toward long-term socioeconomic advancement.
