WILLEMSTAD – Fundashon Kas Popular (FKP) has launched the pilot phase of a new housing initiative called “Mi Kas Awor,” aimed at helping more Curaçao families become homeowners instead of remaining long-term renters.

According to FKP, the program starts with an initial planned investment of approximately 1 million guilders and introduces a new housing model focused on affordable owner-occupied homes.

Within its current implementation capacity, the project is targeting at least 72 homes per year during the first phase.

The first homes are expected to be delivered approximately 12 months after the required adapted construction permits for Tera Kòrá are finalized and implementation begins.
