WILLEMSTAD – The first container carrying Curaçao’s new vehicle license plates has arrived on the island, according to Minister of Finance Charles Cooper.
The plates will be inspected over the coming days to ensure that everything meets the required specifications before distribution begins.
If the inspection process goes smoothly, two additional containers with more license plates are expected to arrive shortly. These shipments will allow authorities to continue preparing for the rollout of the new plates.
The government said that further information about the official start of the distribution process will be announced soon. Motorists will then receive details on when and how they can collect their new license plates.
The redesigned plates feature an updated look that includes the slogan “Curaçao – Feel it for yourself.”
