WILLEMSTAD – The Permit Desk (Lokèt di Pèrmit) of the Ministry of Governance Management, Planning and Public Service (BPD) announced that the newly appointed members of the External Rent Commission held their first meeting on March 12, 2026.
The meeting took place at the Permit Desk office, where the commission members discussed concrete steps to begin their work and address pending cases. With the installation of the new commission, the body will resume handling disputes between tenants and property owners, with the goal of reducing the backlog of cases and improving services to the community.

The Rent Commission is responsible for reviewing cases related to the determination of rental prices and the termination of rental agreements in accordance with the National Ordinance on Rent (P.B. 2011, no. 65).
Members of the commission include Rick Trenidad, Reagan Celestijn, Mishenu Cicilia and Mirogelle Martha. They were joined during the meeting by staff members of the Permit Desk.
The Permit Desk is located at Saliña 127 in the Eurobuilding, next to Subway. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
