Exhibition Imagines Future Metro Network for Curaçao

Local, | By Correspondent April 9, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – A new exhibition exploring a futuristic metro system for Curaçao has opened to the public, inviting visitors to rethink mobility and connectivity on the island.

The exhibition, titled Kompania di Metro di Kòrsou, was launched on Saturday at the Curaçao Interactive Experience, located at the Brionplein in Otrobanda.

Created by artist Marcel van Duijneveldt, the project presents a fictional metro network designed using digital tools and artificial intelligence. The concept includes routes and stations mapped across recognizable locations on the island, offering a speculative vision of how public transport could evolve.

Through this approach, the exhibition encourages visitors to reflect on key themes such as urban development, accessibility, and the future of infrastructure in Curaçao.

The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the West End Building and will run through June. Organizers hope the concept will spark discussion about long-term solutions for transportation and connectivity on the island.
