WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao's Supreme Electoral Council (Konseho Supremo Elektoral) has presented its 2025 Annual Report and 2025 Financial Report to Minister of Justice Shalten Hato, highlighting the council's work in overseeing the island's electoral process.
During the meeting, the Electoral Council formally handed over both reports, providing an overview of its activities and financial management during 2025.

Minister Hato thanked the delegation for its visit and commended the council for its transparency and commitment to strengthening Curaçao's democratic institutions.
"A strong democracy begins with free, fair and transparent elections," Hato said, expressing his appreciation for the work carried out by the Electoral Council and the many individuals involved in safeguarding the island's electoral process.
The minister also thanked everyone who works daily to ensure that elections in Curaçao are conducted professionally and with integrity.
The presentation of the annual and financial reports forms part of the Electoral Council's accountability process and provides government officials and the public with insight into the institution's operations, finances and contributions to maintaining democratic governance on the island.
