WILLEMSTAD – Reinier van Zutphen paid an official visit on May 13 to Mauritsz de Kort at the Governor’s Palace in Curaçao.
Van Zutphen was accompanied during the visit by Stephan Sjouke.
During the meeting, discussions focused on cooperation between the ombudsman institutions of Aruba, Sint Maarten, Netherlands, and Curaçao.
According to information released following the meeting, the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange within the Kingdom was strongly emphasized.
The conversation also addressed the role and relevance of the ombudsman institution within a democratic rule-of-law system.
Participants discussed the contribution ombudsman institutions make to good governance, legal protection for citizens, and strengthening public trust in government institutions.
