Local, The Netherlands, | By Correspondent April 8, 2026

THE HAGUE – The Dutch government has found no evidence that international laws or regulations have been violated in connection with the storage of Venezuelan oil in Curaçao.

In response to concerns about whether Dutch companies might benefit from activities linked to geopolitical tensions involving Venezuela, ministers stated that companies are required to comply with applicable international rules.

Based on current information, the government sees no indication that these obligations have been breached.

The statement comes as part of a broader discussion in the Netherlands about the legal and ethical implications of oil trade linked to Venezuela.
