WILLEMSTAD – The international music scene is set to be enriched with the debut of the Dutch Caribbean Orchestra, a unique instrumental ensemble that brings together cultures, styles, and musical traditions from around the world.
The orchestra, composed of talented musicians from various nationalities, will make its official debut this Friday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Curaçao Cultural Center (CCC) in Emmastad.
Positioned as a symbol of unity and artistic excellence, the orchestra blends influences ranging from classical music to contemporary rhythms, creating a vibrant and emotionally engaging experience for audiences of all backgrounds.

At the helm of the project is conductor John Nathan Suárez, who not only leads the ensemble’s performances but also contributes as a composer and arranger of several pieces in the repertoire. His artistic vision has been key in shaping a cohesive sound that balances technical precision with creativity and expression.
The orchestra’s repertoire includes both original compositions and innovative arrangements of well-known works, carefully crafted to highlight the diversity and richness of its musicians. Each performance is designed as a musical journey, inviting audiences to explore new emotions and soundscapes.
The ensemble features a wide range of instruments, including flute, violin, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophones, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass, percussion, drums, and piano, reflecting the orchestra’s dynamic and multicultural identity.
More than just a musical group, the Dutch Caribbean Orchestra aims to serve as a bridge between cultures, celebrating solidarity and the universal power of music. Through its performances, the ensemble seeks to inspire and demonstrate that, beyond differences, music remains a universal language that unites people.
Following the orchestra’s debut performance, the evening will also feature a special appearance by artist Steve Mariat, who will perform a selection of songs for the audience.
