WILLEMSTAD – The Netherlands, the United States and Canada remained Curaçao’s most important tourism markets in February 2026, according to new data from the Curaçao Tourist Board.
Visitors from the Netherlands continued to dominate the tourism landscape. In February, Curaçao welcomed 23,460 Dutch travelers, representing a 2 percent increase compared to the same month in 2025.
Dutch visitors also stayed longer than most other tourists. On average, travelers from the Netherlands remained on the island for 11.8 nights. More than half of them—about 55 percent—chose to stay in non-resort accommodations, while 45 percent stayed in resort hotels.
The United States remained Curaçao’s second-largest source market, with 19,622 visitors arriving in February. While the number of visitors from the U.S. remained stable compared to last year, American tourists showed a strong preference for resort hotels, with 64 percent choosing resort accommodations.
On average, U.S. visitors stayed on the island for 6.1 nights.
Canada recorded one of the strongest increases in tourism for the month. Visitor arrivals from Canada grew by 25 percent, rising from 5,917 visitors in February 2025 to 7,420 visitors this year.
Canadian tourists stayed an average of 9.4 nights, with half choosing resort hotels and the other half opting for alternative accommodations.
Overall, the Curaçao Tourist Board reported that tourism demand remained healthy across major international markets, contributing to an average visitor stay of 8.6 nights in February.
Officials say the figures reflect a balanced tourism market and continued efforts to attract visitors from multiple regions while maintaining a high-quality visitor experience.
