The competition featured 13 races in the Foil category and 12 races in the Fin category. Despite the challenging conditions and international competition, the young Curaçao athlete secured podium finishes in both disciplines.

His silver medal in the Fin category carries particular significance. It marked his third second-place finish this year in the discipline during events on the PWA Youth and Junior Slalom World Cup Tour, earning him the title of U17 Vice World Champion for 2026.

The achievement highlights Michael's consistency throughout the international competition season and his ability to perform at a high level against some of the world's most promising young windsurfers.

His bronze medal in the Foil category further demonstrates his versatility, as the two disciplines require different techniques and approaches to racing.

At just 15 years old, Michael continues to establish himself as one of Curaçao's promising young watersports athletes, bringing international recognition to the island through his performances.

His latest results in Miami add to an already successful 2026 season and reinforce Curaçao's presence in international youth windsurfing.
