WILLEMSTAD – As part of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, young participants in the Ministry of Justice’s vacation job program received an educational session from PATH Curaçao on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
During the session, the youths learned how to recognize warning signs of human trafficking, how to protect themselves and others, and why it is important to report suspicious situations.
The training aimed to increase awareness among young people and strengthen their role in preventing and combating this serious form of crime.
Through education and open discussion, PATH Curaçao emphasized the importance of vigilance and community involvement in identifying situations that may involve exploitation or trafficking.
The Ministry of Justice highlighted that young people play an important role in building a safer community and that awareness is a key element in protecting potential victims.
“Together we can protect our community,” the organizers stated.
