Curaçao Updates Rules on Administrative Fines and Penalties

WILLEMSTAD – The Council of Ministers has approved amendments to Curaçao’s regulations governing administrative fines and penalty payments related to financial service providers and the reporting of unusual transactions.

The changes affect the National Decree on Penalty Payments and Administrative Fines for Service Providers 2022 and the National Decree on Penalty Payments and Administrative Fines for Reporting Unusual Transactions 2021.

According to the government, the amended draft decrees will now be submitted to Governor Mauritsz de Kort for formal approval and signing.

The measures fall under the Ministry of Finance and are linked to Curaçao’s financial supervision and compliance framework.
