WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao has unveiled its new away kit ahead of its historic debut at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, drawing international attention with a design that reflects the island’s cultural identity.
The kit, developed in collaboration with adidas, features the brand’s iconic three stripes as a tribute to the colorful, distinctive houses of Willemstad. The design is part of a broader global release of national team away kits, but Curaçao’s version has stood out for its unique storytelling and visual appeal.

Curaçao qualified for the World Cup under head coach Dick Advocaat, achieving a milestone that few had anticipated. However, the 78-year-old Dutch coach will not lead the team during the tournament due to serious illness within his family. His departure was followed by assistant coach Cor Pot and team doctor Casper van Eijk.
Fred Rutten has since taken over as head coach and is expected to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor. Rutten indicated that he intends to respect the team’s existing structure and culture, while adding his own approach.
Curaçao will compete in a challenging group alongside Germany, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador in its first-ever World Cup appearance. The team is expected to have the option of wearing the newly launched away kit during the tournament, depending on match requirements.
The unveiling of the kit marks another milestone moment for Curaçao football, as the island prepares to step onto the world stage with both sporting ambition and a strong representation of its cultural heritage.
