WILLEMSTAD – The Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou (FFK), together with adidas and Voetbalshop.nl, has officially unveiled the new home jersey for Curaçao’s national football team ahead of the country’s historic participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The new design, inspired by the team’s nickname “The Blue Wave,” will make its home debut on June 6 during Curaçao’s international match against Aruba.

The jersey combines light blue and deep blue tones representing the island’s sky and sea, accented with yellow details symbolizing the Caribbean sun. The sleeves feature wave patterns that directly reference both the national team’s nickname and the island’s surrounding waters.
One of the most striking features is the prominent placement of the name “Curaçao” across the chest, a deliberate choice intended to increase the island’s visibility on the global stage.
According to the FFK, the uniform was designed to strengthen Curaçao’s national identity through multiple symbolic elements. The multicolored collar and colored trim on the shorts and socks give the kit a modern and distinctive appearance, while the national colors appear on both the front and back of the uniform.
The wave designs on the sleeves are also meant to symbolize the resilience, determination and spirit of the Curaçao people.
FFK president Gilbert Martina described the new jersey as “a milestone” for Curaçao football.
According to Martina, the partnership places Curaçao alongside major football nations also sponsored by adidas, including Argentina national football team, Spain national football team and Germany national football team.
“The jersey tells the story of our Blue Wave, of the waves that surround us every day, but also of the strength and resilience of our island and our people,” Martina stated.
The new uniforms will appear during two upcoming international matches. The away kit will debut on May 30 against Scotland national football team, while the home jersey will officially debut on Curaçao during the June 6 match against Aruba national football team.
Player names and numbers will appear in yellow, matching Curaçao’s national colors. In addition to the standard home kit, a fully yellow alternative jersey will also be available.
