WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Trade Strategy Forum 2026 has officially begun, bringing together representatives from government, the business community and other organizations to discuss the future of the island’s international trade.
The three-day forum runs through March 18 and focuses on the next phase of Curaçao’s trade strategy. The event takes place at a time when global trade is undergoing rapid changes driven by geopolitical developments, digitalization, artificial intelligence and new forms of economic cooperation.
Since the introduction of the national export strategy, several initiatives have been launched to strengthen Curaçao’s competitive position and create new opportunities in international markets.
During the forum, participants will evaluate the progress made so far, assess what adjustments may be needed and discuss how strategic plans can be translated more effectively into concrete results.
The event brings together stakeholders from a wide range of sectors, including government institutions, private companies, educational organizations, the financial sector and civil society.
Organizers say the goal of the forum is to jointly determine how Curaçao can strengthen its position in global trade and better capitalize on emerging economic opportunities.
