WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao will participate for the first time this year in the international Face of the World Championship in Germany, giving the island its first official representative on the global beauty and modeling platform.
The Curaçao representative will be 20-year-old Dirodia de Haseth.
She was selected by Aubrey America, director of Aubrey America Events & Productions, who is responsible for the selection and preparation of the contestant.
De Haseth, who stands 1.86 meters tall, is already active within the trajectory of Miss Beauty of the Netherlands.
According to America, the collaboration between the two began earlier this year when he gave her makeup lessons and recognized her potential for international competition.
Preparations for the championship have now officially started, with her training expected to intensify in the coming weeks as she prepares to represent Curaçao on the international stage.
According to the organizers of the competition, early impressions of the Curaçao contestant based on submitted photographs have already been highly positive.
The participation marks another step in the growing international visibility of Curaçao within global beauty and modeling competitions.
