WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao is set to welcome an international fleet of large sailing vessels from May 2 to 8, 2026, as part of the Velas Curaçao Rendez-Vous.
The event will bring together tall ships from Latin America and Europe, creating a unique maritime gathering in the Caribbean. Such rendez-vous events typically involve multiple ships arriving in the same port over a set period and are known to attract large crowds.
The visiting fleet is expected to include a mix of training vessels and naval ships from various countries. While full details on participating ships and the program have yet to be announced, the event is expected to feature a range of maritime and cultural activities for the public.
With the upcoming rendez-vous, Curaçao aims to further strengthen its position as a key maritime destination in the region, combining nautical heritage with tourism and cultural engagement.
