WILLIAMSPORT – Curaçao’s Pariba Little League continued its impressive run at the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series on Sunday, defeating Asia-Pacific representative South Korea 1-0 in a tightly contested game at Volunteer Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The victory improves Curaçao’s tournament record to 2-0.
The only run of the game came in the first inning. Giendry Ryan hit a one-out double and advanced to third on a wild pitch. He then stole home to give Curaçao an early 1-0 advantage. That single run would ultimately prove enough to secure the victory.
From that point, Curaçao relied on strong pitching and defense to keep the South Korean team from scoring.
Juriënsly De Windt pitched four scoreless innings and struck out five batters before Ryan took over on the mound for the final two innings. Together, the Curaçao pitchers recorded 10 strikeouts in the shutout, according to Little League’s official game recap.
Curaçao was held to only two hits during the game. In addition to Ryan’s first-inning double, V-dien Ignacio Lindo also recorded a double. South Korea managed three hits but was unable to convert any of its opportunities into a run.
The victory follows Curaçao’s dominant opening performance against Japan on Friday. Pariba defeated Japan 6-0 behind a combined no-hitter by Jaymiëll Martina and Ryan
This year’s tournament is historic for Curaçao because it is the first time the island has received direct entry into the international bracket as the Curaçao Region. In previous editions, Curaçao teams had to qualify as representatives of the broader Caribbean Region. Pariba is appearing in the Little League World Series for the fifth time and for the first time since 2016.
With victories over Japan and South Korea, Curaçao remains undefeated and advances in the winners’ bracket.
Pariba’s next game is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time against the Latin America Region champion from León, Nicaragua. Nicaragua is also unbeaten and advanced after defeating Mexico 8-4 on Sunday.
The winner will move another step closer to the International Championship and a possible appearance in the Little League World Series championship game.
