WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao has officially reinstated the National Tripartite Dialogue, restoring a formal consultation platform that brings together the government, employers and labor unions to discuss labor market policies and socio-economic issues.
Minister of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW) Charetti America-Francisca presented the national decree reactivating the dialogue during the commemoration of the 104th anniversary of the 1922 Harbor Strike.
According to the minister, the renewed platform is intended to provide a permanent forum where the three parties can jointly work toward a stronger, fairer and more sustainable labor market.
America-Francisca said the reactivation fulfills a commitment she made shortly after taking office during meetings with representatives of the labor movement, including union leaders Frensley Sillé and Adri Williams.
She emphasized that the initiative goes beyond a simple administrative measure and is designed to strengthen the institutions that promote trust, stability and long-term socio-economic development.
The National Tripartite Dialogue is expected to facilitate structured consultations on labor issues, economic development and employment policies through regular discussions among the three social partners.
