WILLEMSTAD – Efforts to reduce bureaucracy and improve Curaçao’s business climate are beginning to show results, according to the 2025 annual report of the Temporary Work Organization (TWO).
The report highlights significant progress in reducing administrative barriers for entrepreneurs. Backlogs in business permit processing at the Ministry of Economic Development have largely been eliminated, while a new investment portal now provides potential investors with information on how to establish operations in Curaçao.
Existing small and medium-sized enterprises are also receiving coaching and support in digitalization, financial management and business administration to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
The reforms form part of the Landspakket’s broader economic agenda aimed at lowering the cost of doing business and strengthening the island’s investment climate. Additional reforms planned for 2026 include introducing digital signatures within government processes to further accelerate permit approvals and administrative procedures.
