WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao's tourism sector has achieved its strongest first-half performance on record, with more than 437,000 stayover visitors arriving on the island between January and June 2026.

According to the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), the destination welcomed 437,086 stayover visitors during the first six months of the year, representing a 9 percent increase compared with the 399,967 arrivals recorded during the same period in 2025.

This marks the first time Curaçao has surpassed the 400,000 visitor milestone during the first half of a year.

CTB said the results demonstrate continued strong demand across Curaçao's key tourism markets and provide a solid foundation for the remainder of 2026.

The Netherlands remained Curaçao's largest source market during the first half of the year, accounting for 134,613 visitors, or 31 percent of total arrivals.

The United States ranked second with 116,952 visitors, representing 27 percent of all stayover arrivals.

Canada contributed 31,386 visitors, while Colombia recorded 28,817 arrivals. Both markets represented approximately 7 percent of Curaçao's total visitors during the first six months.

South America also contributed to the island's tourism growth, with Brazil accounting for 20,488 visitors and Argentina for 19,062 arrivals.

CTB said the continued growth across multiple markets reflects sustained international interest in Curaçao as a tourism destination.

The tourism sector's performance comes as the island continues efforts to expand air connectivity, strengthen destination marketing and attract visitors from a wider range of international markets.
