| By Correspondent March 16, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao welcomed 74,591 stayover visitors in February 2026, marking a 7 percent increase compared to the same month last year, according to new figures released by the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB).

The island received 4,984 more stayover visitors than in February 2025, reflecting continued strong demand during the winter travel season.

Tourism growth was driven by solid performance across several key source markets. South America recorded the strongest growth, with arrivals increasing by 27 percent compared to February last year. North America saw a 6 percent increase, while arrivals from Europe rose by 3 percent. The Caribbean region, however, recorded fewer arrivals during the month.

Despite moderate growth, Europe remained the largest source region for Curaçao, accounting for 27,799 visitors. North America followed closely with 27,042 arrivals, while South America contributed 16,206 stayover visitors.

According to Immigration Card data, visitors stayed an average of 8.6 nights during their trip to the island in February.

The Curaçao Tourist Board noted that the figures reflect sustained international interest in the destination during the winter months, traditionally one of the strongest periods for tourism.

Tourism officials say the results demonstrate a healthy balance between different international markets and highlight Curaçao’s continued appeal to travelers seeking a Caribbean destination during the colder months in North America and Europe.

The tourism sector remains a key pillar of Curaçao’s economy, contributing significantly to employment and economic activity across the island.
