| By Correspondent February 27, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao is preparing a festive welcome for Kimberly de Boer, who won the international title Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 on Saturday in Bolivia.

De Boer impressed the jury with her presence, presentation and message. The competition is regarded as a platform where culture, identity and social engagement play a central role. Contestants are evaluated not only on appearance, but also on communication skills, personality and vision.

The new international title adds to De Boer’s growing list of achievements. She previously won the Miss Turismo Internacional title and was crowned Miss Curaçao in 2024.

A celebratory motorcade is scheduled for Sunday in her honor. The parade will depart at 5:00 p.m. from Hanchi Polar, also known as Roodeweg, and make its way to the Brionplein in Otrobanda. Members of the public are encouraged to line the route and greet De Boer as she returns home.

At 6:00 p.m., a central celebration will begin at the Brionplein, where the public is invited to join in marking the international success. The event is expected to draw a large crowd as Curaçao celebrates another major achievement on the global stage.
