WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), in collaboration with the Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA), will host the 24th Caribbean Shipping Executives’ Conference (CSEC) from May 17 to 19, 2026.
The conference will bring together shipping executives, port authorities, maritime professionals, and industry experts from across the Caribbean and beyond.

According to the organizers, the event will focus on strengthening resilience, connectivity, and sustainability within the Caribbean maritime and shipping sector.
During the three-day conference, participants will take part in strategic discussions, technical sessions, committee and council meetings, and networking activities. The program will also feature cultural activities highlighting Curaçao’s maritime and cultural heritage.
Topics scheduled for discussion include building a more resilient Caribbean maritime economy, the use of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in shipping, improving intra-Caribbean trade through better logistics and connectivity, integrating renewable energy and sustainability into port operations, and addressing maritime security challenges affecting regional shipping routes.
The discussions will involve regional and international experts from both the public and private sectors, as well as representatives from academic institutions.
Representatives of the government of Curaçao and the Curaçao Ports Authority are expected to participate in the official opening ceremony, underlining the importance of maritime development and regional cooperation.
The conference program also includes a welcome reception, cultural events, and a guided port tour.
According to CPA, the event will provide participants with opportunities to strengthen partnerships, exchange knowledge, and gain deeper insight into Curaçao’s port operations and the island’s strategic role within the Caribbean maritime network.
