WILLEMSTAD – A team of officers from the Curaçao Police Force (KPC) has traveled to the Netherlands to participate in an international Buddy Network Program organized by the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.

The delegation consists of tactical officers from the Organized Crime Division (DGC) and members of the police Infodesk unit. The program is designed to strengthen cooperation between law enforcement agencies and enhance the exchange of information related to border security and the fight against cross-border crime.

During their stay in the Netherlands, the Curaçao officers will work closely with their Dutch counterparts, sharing operational experiences, best practices and intelligence on emerging criminal trends. The initiative also provides an opportunity to discuss recent developments in combating organized crime and strengthening controls at borders and entry points.

According to KPC, international cooperation remains essential in addressing modern security challenges, particularly those involving transnational criminal networks that operate across multiple jurisdictions.

The Buddy Network Program aims to improve communication and collaboration between partner agencies while fostering professional development and knowledge-sharing among participating officers.

Commissioner Bryan, head of the division, together with the Curaçao Police Force, extended best wishes to the officers participating in the program and expressed confidence that the experience will further strengthen the capabilities of the force.

The exchange reflects ongoing efforts by Curaçao's law enforcement authorities to enhance international partnerships and improve the island's capacity to combat organized crime and safeguard its borders.
