ROTTERDAM – Curaçao will open its first-ever official football fanshop in Rotterdam this week as excitement continues to build toward the country’s historic debut at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Federashon di Futbòl Kòrsou (FFK), together with Voetbalshop.nl and adidas, will officially launch a temporary Official Curaçao Fanshop in Rotterdam on Thursday evening.

The store is specifically aimed at Dutch supporters of Curaçao’s national football team, known as “The Blue Wave.” The fanshop will be located inside the Voetbalshop Rotterdam branch on Bergselaan and will open at 5:00 p.m. Dutch time.

At the same moment, Curaçao’s new home jersey will officially go on sale for the first time.

According to the football federation, the launch event will feature live music, refreshments and supporter activities for fans eager to purchase the new shirt and celebrate the national team’s historic World Cup qualification.

On Curaçao, the new collection will become available Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. local time at the official FFK Fanshop in Sambil.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, the new Curaçao merchandise will be sold exclusively through Voetbalshop.nl and the chain’s 24 retail stores.

The launch forms part of the growing international promotion surrounding Curaçao’s first participation ever in a FIFA World Cup. The national team will begin its historic tournament campaign next month as one of the 48 countries competing at the 2026 World Cup.

The Blue Wave has generated strong enthusiasm both on the island and among the Curaçaoan diaspora in the Netherlands, where large supporter communities are expected to follow the team throughout the tournament.
