WILLEMSTAD – The Ombudsman of Curaçao formally presented the 2025 annual report to Governor Mauritsz de Kort on August 17, 2026, in accordance with the established procedure.
During the meeting, the Ombudsman provided the Governor with an explanation of the report and discussed the institution’s activities and findings during 2025.
The annual report provides an overview of the work carried out by the Ombudsman throughout the year and the findings resulting from complaints, investigations and other activities involving government administration.
The Ombudsman plays an independent role in examining complaints from citizens about the conduct of government bodies and public authorities. The institution is intended to contribute to proper public administration by identifying problems in the relationship between citizens and government and making recommendations where necessary.
The presentation of the annual report to the Governor forms part of the Ombudsman’s accountability and reporting responsibilities.
