NOORDWIJK – The Curaçao national football team officially began preparations today for its upcoming World Cup qualifying matches as head coach Dick Advocaat and his players arrived at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin.

The players received a festive welcome on a blue carpet outside the team hotel, marking the start of an important training camp ahead of the next stage of international competition for “The Blue Wave.”

There will be little time to rest, however, as the squad is scheduled to hold its first training session later this afternoon.

Over the coming days, Curaçao will train at the facilities of VV SJC in Noordwijk. While several sessions will remain completely closed to preserve tactical focus and privacy, supporters will also have opportunities to see the team in action.

Fans in the Netherlands will be able to attend three public moments during the training week.

One of the key fan events is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Rotterdam. Beginning at 3:00 p.m., the Curaçao squad will host a special football clinic and meet-and-greet at the grounds of RVV Blijdorp.

The media will also have access to the team on Thursday, May 28, when a press conference with Advocaat is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Huis ter Duin. One-on-one interview sessions with players will follow afterward.

On Friday, the national team will travel to Glasgow, where the final press conference and last training session will take place at the legendary Hampden Park stadium.

The highlight of the training camp will come on Saturday, May 30, when Curaçao faces Scotland in an international friendly match.
