WILLEMSTAD – A Curaçao-born man wanted through an Interpol Red Notice has been arrested at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia, according to Colombian authorities.
The suspect was identified as Roberto Rafael Daantje. Colombian media reported that he was detained while attempting to enter Colombia from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

Daantje is being fingerprinted by Interpol officers
Authorities said Daantje was the subject of an international alert and was being sought through Interpol’s global network, which includes law enforcement agencies in 190 member countries.
According to the Colombian National Police, Daantje is suspected of having played a leadership role in an international criminal organization involved in large-scale cocaine trafficking. Officials have not yet released further details regarding the allegations or the scope of the investigation.
It also remains unclear which country requested his arrest through Interpol and whether extradition proceedings will follow. Colombian authorities have indicated that the investigation is ongoing and that additional information may be released at a later stage.
The arrest highlights continued international cooperation among law enforcement agencies in combating transnational organized crime and drug trafficking networks operating across multiple jurisdictions.
