WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao will participate in a regional initiative to improve victim information systems across the Caribbean, following approval by the Council of Ministers.
The participation was requested by the Directorate of Legislation and Legal Affairs (WJZ) of the Ministry of General Affairs and focuses on implementing the Slachtofferinformatiesystemiek (SIS) for the Caribbean region.
The system is intended to improve the flow of information to victims, particularly in crisis and disaster situations. As part of the initiative, WJZ will coordinate with various government services and organizations to gather the necessary data and ensure effective implementation within Curaçao’s disaster management structure.
