WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao International Airport has introduced temporary access restrictions to its parking facilities during peak periods due to capacity constraints. The measure was announced in a notice to visitors.
According to the airport, continued growth in passenger numbers has led to the parking lot filling up more frequently. Once maximum capacity is reached, vehicles are only allowed to enter when other cars leave the premises. The restriction is intended to prevent drivers from circling the area in search of a parking space and losing their allotted free parking time.
The airport stressed that the drop-off and pick-up lanes will remain fully accessible at all times, ensuring that passengers can still be brought to and collected from the terminal without disruption.
Curaçao International Airport stated that it is currently working on a temporary practical solution, while also preparing for longer-term structural improvements to its parking facilities.
