WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Council of Ministers has approved revised profile requirements for members of the Supervisory Board of Fundashon pa Stimulá Edukashon i Formashon den Bario (SEFBA), a foundation focused on promoting education and training within local communities.
The decision was taken on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, as part of the government's formal decision-making process concerning entities operating under the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (OWCS).
In addition to approving the revised profiles, the Council of Ministers agreed to revoke the ministerial decision dated December 20, 2017, which established the previous profile requirements.
The new decision replaces the earlier framework governing the profiles of SEFBA's supervisory board members.
Profile requirements are used to identify the qualifications, professional backgrounds and competencies expected of individuals serving on supervisory boards.
The revision provides an updated framework for evaluating prospective board members and determining whether candidates meet the requirements established for supervisory responsibilities.
SEFBA's activities are directed toward encouraging education and training in Curaçao's neighborhoods, making its governance structure relevant to the foundation's organizational oversight.
The government's announcement did not specify which requirements have been changed compared with the 2017 profiles.
It also did not indicate whether the revised criteria are connected to upcoming appointments, vacancies or other changes within SEFBA's supervisory structure.
The decision formally establishes the revised profiles and withdraws the previous ministerial decision, but does not announce any new supervisory board appointments.
