WILLEMSTAD – The Government of Curaçao will participate in the 28th edition of the National Career Fair in Amsterdam on April 24 and 25, 2026, aiming to attract young professionals and students—particularly Curaçaoan graduates studying in the Netherlands—to return and contribute to the island’s development.
The National Career Fair, held at the RAI Amsterdam, is the largest career event within the Kingdom of the Netherlands for MBO, HBO and WO students who are about to graduate, as well as young professionals. The Curaçao government will be present as an employer, showcasing job opportunities across its various ministries.

The initiative is specifically targeted at Curaçaoan students abroad, often referred to as “yu di tera,” who face the decision after graduation of whether to remain in the Netherlands or return home. Authorities say the event offers a unique opportunity for these graduates to explore how their skills and education can be applied locally.
According to the government, Curaçao faces a growing need for qualified professionals in sectors such as public administration, education, healthcare and technology. Young graduates with international experience are seen as key to bringing new ideas and strengthening institutional capacity on the island.
The government is positioning itself as an employer offering meaningful careers with impact, emphasizing opportunities for personal growth, competitive salaries and the chance to contribute to the community.
“Returning to Curaçao is not a step backward, but a step forward,” the message states, highlighting the potential for young professionals to make a tangible difference in their home country.
Visitors to the career fair will be able to attend free workshops, participate in professional development sessions and engage with interactive presentations from various organizations. The Curaçao government will present a wide range of vacancies across ministries, aiming to connect directly with potential candidates.
The event will take place on April 24 and 25 from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at RAI Amsterdam.
